March in Crafts - My First Pop-Up

Intro

This month has been crazy hectic and went by so fast. Despite that, I got the amazing opportunity to take part in a solo pop-up shop hosted by a local small business. This gave me a chance to interact more with the community, get more experience doing in-person events, and debut some of the items I’ve been experimenting with.

Pop-up at Plant & Curio

I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work together with a local plant shop, Plant & Curio, to host a one-day pop-up shop. The shop owner was very helpful and friendly, and though it was a rainy day, I had a wonderful experience. Thank you to everyone who came by to say hi and big thank you to Leslie from Plant & Curio for welcoming me so kindly!

Experimenting with micro-crochet

Though I didn't do much crafting, I did get to play around with micro crochet. Using crochet thread and a 1.25 mm hook, I was able to make the tiniest leaves and hearts. It was challenging just by nature of its miniature size, and it took some time to get the hang of it, but I think the result is super cute!

What’s coming in April

April is going to be a busy and hectic time for me. In addition to moving to a new city, I will be applying to attend summer markets in Toronto, so I hope to see some of you in person. I will also be working to move off Etsy on to my own web shop, so I hope you can support me. It will be a huge and difficult undertaking so I will appreciate any help you can provide!

As always, you can follow my craft journey and see the things I make on Instagram or Twitter @thenerDIYblog or ask your craft questions live on Twitch every Wednesday at 7pm EST and Sunday at 4pm EST. See you there!
