February in Crafts: Cross Stitching & Twitch Streaming

Every time I write a month in review, I feel like the month has gone by in a blink of an eye. It’s been crazy and laid back at the same time somehow. February was a time of learning for me. Since I started streaming on Twitch, I’ve grown in leaps and bounds and I’ve still got a long way to go. Here’s how it went!

Twitch streaming - reaching Affiliate

I started streaming cross stitching on Twitch in January, and after only a month, we reached Twitch Affiliate! That’s absolutely crazy, and I appreciate every single one of you that helped me get this far. Now that we’re Affiliate, we get channel points that you can spend to interact with me live, emotes, and more ways to engage with this community and support the stream!

The last month has been a long process of slowly adding and adjusting the way I stream as I learn more and more. There’s a huge supportive community of makers and crafters on Twitch, so I’m glad to join them.

Digital art

Since we now have access to emotes, I’ve decided to pick up digital art again to draw something special for my Twitch subscribers. So far I’ve made two emotes, one of which is animated! I’m particularly excited about the animated emote because I had never made anything like it before and I think it’s just so so cute!

I’m looking for more ideas for emotes, perhaps a food theme? For example, comfort foods to make a sort of cozy cafe. Let me know if you have any suggestions! I’ll be working on these and releasing them one by one. You can use these emotes and all my future ones by subscribing to my Twitch channel.

Pattern writing

Outside the streaming sphere, I have been working on releasing crochet patterns for you guys! I’m happy with the response I got from the mushroom hat pattern so I plan on releasing a pattern for my crochet potted plant soon! Originally it was supposed to launch before the end of February but unforeseen circumstances have delayed it. I will release it as soon as I can!

What’s coming in March

March means spring is just around the corner. You know what that means? Spring hats! I'm also going to be experimenting with new types of projects. A pattern for my crochet potted plant is on its way as well! You can also look forward to more streams, more cross stitching, and more crafting questions answered live.

You can choose a suitable application for streaming here. And immediately start conducting live broadcasts. I think this is a good way to spend time with people who are your like-minded people and also make money on it
